Children in the slums of Pattaya:
TCK has been developing this project for a few years now and it's the toughest one of all on a mental level....We obtained many small successes. It's important for us to monitor their living conditions often, they need to know we are there for them. They need to be reassured we'll be there if they need anything for their kids, they need to know we will help them in any way we can and that we care, unlike the society that refuses them. The same society that has cut them out from life and cares only about personal gain. WEll, in this environment, they can count on TCK, we are there! We visit them almost daily to check up on them and offer minimum assistance. THere aRe 5 children we monitor very closely and for whom we run day or night to the hospital when needed.
In order for this project to continue, we need about 2500 Euro per year in order to cover the following costs: diapers, powdered milk, vitamin milk, medicines especially the ones for colds and coughs which can become very complicated during the rains, and building material to fix the huts where the children live. It's useless to say that in a city like Pattaya, one of the prostitution capitals of the world, this project becomes essential in order to keep the children safe from all the violence they might encounter every day. Therefore, we are there and will be there for long thanks to all the support you can give us. Sometimes unity really builds strength.
