1. part![]() .... where did we leave off, my first thought as I landed was for little Nanphon be in my heart and I hope also in yours’ but now we have to think of the many other little children in need and with this thought we move forward ..... this year we promised the orphanage a lighting system for the little football and volley ball area, the contacts have already been made and the work will begin shortly .... we promised 10,000 kilos of rice, the contacts are also in this case at a good starting point. 2. part![]() One part of the travel diary in one breath ... there are many things we need to tell, Rita and Emma arrived on Tuesday and on Wednesday without wasting any time they were on the front-line of the ‘slum area’ to deliver all of the things that you prepared f the slums’ ‘A feast for sore eyes’ to see them try to choose from all of the things that were in front of them! 3. part![]() Every time I begin to write another part of the Travel Diary I never know really where to begin ... there are always a million things to say: now Alessia has arrived, a young volunteer but at the same time full of energy (which will not go to waste here) She didn’t want to relax even for a day to recover energy from her jet lag and changes in the time zones but acclimatised immediately in the orphanage bet and changing and I have to say that the children haven’t lost their affection, first the little ones then the bigger ... 4. part![]() And here is the first Christmas, in the slums, the second and the third will take place at the orphanage and the Aids Centre for Children and of course the feelings are ‘price due to the very hot weather Santa Claus waved goodbye to his traditional outfit but still retained the number of precious gifts given by all of you, Chinese ‘Barbie’dolls, soft toys and cars etc ... in short, for these children accustomed to working long exhausting days searching for some rubbish obje on the street, glass bottles and plastic, so used to a daily crisi, violence and to ... 5. part![]() Santa Claus has put the sleigh into his garage, the reindeer are in the stables ... now my heart and my thoughts go to you who are reading this ... you have made all of this happen, to you ... this year I cannot remember everything, however I don’t want to have an injustice but I cannot stop to remember you all one by one but you have helped over 300 children to smile on the magical night, street children, abused children, children who are alone, orphaned children who have contracted the dreadful virus that we call HIV faces looking ... 6. part![]() …and here we are again, with the new year under way, full of energy, always in the front line, always close to our children with all the back up coming from Italy…..Margherita and Orsola, on their second round, arrived here loaded…..they were immediately taken to the slums to bring their help and your clothes, and then they were immediately taken to the Camillian Social Center in Rayong to visit our little ones affected by Aids…..and this is where I’m going to pause…..it’s their first visit, one of those truly intense moments….Father Giovanni invited us to see the different areas, he ... 7. part![]() .....do you remember Jessy, the little girl with Hiv of whom I spoke in one of the other parts of the Journal?... we went to visit her…..and all the other children to whom you donated a wonderful Christmas…..going back to visit the children and the other people living in the Aids Center in Rayong always strikes us straight through the heart….this time Margherita, Anna, Orsola, Helena and Lehn came along and Father Giovanni showed us around once again….we have no pictures of this event with the fatally ill and the affected children….it was a choice we made….together….to behold and respect ... 8. part![]() …..Sabine and Alex, our two volunteers from the Trento region in Italy….young, good and patient….they are now touring Thailand but I can assure you that they have left us and the Pattaya Orphanage with great memories…..there are so many things to write…. before leaving the kids with tears in their eyes, the two volunteers said: “We will cherish this experience in our hearts for a very long time”…and the children will not forget them easily…in the meantime the Women’s Tennis Tournament started and we had the honor and the pleasure of having Mara Santangelo as our guest…the Italian athlete and ... 9. parte![]() ....Alex e Sabine i nostri volontari altoatesini...giovani, bravi e pazienti...adesso sono tornati a girare per la Thailandia ma vi posso assicurare che all'orfanotrofio di Pattaya, e non solo, hanno lasciato degli ottimi ricordi...quante cose ci sono da scrivere anche questa volta....."e' stata un esperienza che ci porteremo nel cuore a lungo" hanno dichiarato i due nostri volontari poco prima di lasciare i bimbi sicuramente con il nodo alla gola.....ma gli stessi bimbi non li domenticheranno tanto in fretta...nel frattempo e' cominciato il torneo di Tennis femminile e abbiamo avuto l'onore e il ... 10. parte![]() .....e allora torniamo a parlare della mamma con la bambina handicappata che avevamo trovato nella loro "scatola di legno"....all'inizio si temeva per la vista della signora che attacata da un infezione rischiava di spegnersi per sempre.....esultate....dopo il nostro pronto intervento prima in una clinica privata e poi in un ospedale, la mamma che abita sotto l'abero, non perdera' la vista....e gia' tornata a casa dalla figlia, che nel frattempo avevamo fatto sistemare in un centro di accoglienza, con una ricca fasciatura bianchissima sul suo occhio piu' malandato......abbiamo ridato speranza anche a questa ... 11. parte![]() Siamo arrivati anche quest'anno ai saluti. Ne abbiamo fatta di strada insieme.....abbiamo portato in porto i tre progetti che ci eravamo prefissati (cambogia, riso e impianto elettrico), abbiamo consegnato la bellezza di quasi 300 kg fra vestiario e giocattoli, abbiamo aiutato tutte le settimane quasi 110 famiglie nelle bidonville consegnandoli i pacchi per la soppravivenza, abbiamo ascoltato e aiutato (non senza difficolta') i casi peggiori, abbiamo giocati e ci siamo divertiti con tutti i bimbi che abbiamo incontrato sulla nostra strada....li avete regalato emozioni e speranze per un futuro che aihme' si ...
