3. part

Every time I begin to write another part of the Travel Diary I never know really where to begin ... there are always a million things to say: now Alessia has arrived, a young volunteer but at the same time full of energy (which will not go to waste here) She didn’t want to relax even for a day to recover energy from her jet lag and changes in the time zones but acclimatised immediately in the orphanage bet and changing and I have to say that the children haven’t lost their affection, first the little ones then the bigger children and with Alessia in the team we were able to work with the children in 3 shifts,( including 42 hard of hearing) bringing to them chicken and ice very between meals g ween icecream, she will return home full of enthusiasm of what she has seen having discovered a part of the world completely unknown to her .. and I continue --- now the Christmas is nearly at the door and TCK won’t forget to think about our little-ones from the orphanage (approx 280) the children from the slums (approx 75) and the sick children from the Rayong Aids Centre, they have also written a little letter.

Well, the sleigh is nearly ready, I am looking for the reindeers, and one thing I know for sure that when you read about you will be with us and I will be the happiest Postman on Earth. Then, as I promised you, I will introduce one of our young guests, from the orphanage, and not only one, I will begin with Poonapa (for his friends, Poon)brought to the orphanage at 3 weeks old by his Mother who couldn’t hold onto him, she didn’t have the means to do so. There he is with his dark eyes, sometimes sad and at others sparkling with joy, now he is 1 year and 3 months old and with a nice little character, he wants to stay in your arms, he won’t leave you alone, you just go into the room where the other little-ones are, he looks for you, he asks for a hug, warmth and a smile, he loves to do tumbles and most of all to play horsey on your legs, but this little-one has already been promised to a family and will leave the nest soon! Some news about the work in hand for the lighting of the football and volleyball ground, its ready and the little guests from the orphanage have already tested it, and didn’t want to go to bed!

Thanks to all of you, they have re-discovered a little piece of ground and are able to stay outside and play under the lights, imagine 300 little legs, scampering and sweating behind a ball. The official inauguration of the ground will be in January 09 when the orphanage will be presented with 4 new volunteers, and I can assure you that will be a party for everyone! Now in addition to the Christmas festivities, we are concentrating on our search for 10,000 kilos of rice, and hopefully we will have some good news soon. Now I have to run and put the sleigh in gear, however you will not lose sight of me! Heartfelt thanks to you!
