And here is the first Christmas, in the slums, the second and the third will take place at the orphanage and the Aids Centre for Children and of course the feelings are ‘price due to the very hot weather Santa Claus waved goodbye to his traditional outfit but still retained the number of precious gifts given by all of you, Chinese ‘Barbie’dolls, soft toys and cars etc ... in short, for these children accustomed to working long exhausting days searching for some rubbish obje on the street, glass bottles and plastic, so used to a daily crisi, violence and to be afraid not even to give their real name, it was really a nd price-less’ This year objects to pick up cts special day. I spoke about you all, abouat the stall that you organised for them, hard work in the snow, rain and burning sun and I thank you on their behalf. Santa Claus has also given out the rest of the clothes and also held a party, now they are all dressed ‘Made in Italy’ – in all we have given out over 100 gifts but most of all the gift that they most appreciated was that of your presence, the presence of Take Care Kids and the feeling of that which we are doing here I can assure you all, is all worthwhile for these people here. In the past few days I went to visit a new centre that accepts children with disabilities and aids at Lat Kaprang, near Bangkok, I saw again my little friends, that I had met at the Rayong Centre, but I became curious and stopped when I came across the name ‘Big’over the bed of a small boy with aids and walking difficulties .... but with a beautiful smill and he was immersed with his toys as I watched him, he was surprised that a white person had come to meet him ... then I met Jack and Peter two old friends, one blind and the other Down Syndrome but with smiles of which say, we are not worried about our conditions as we play our football, I fell into their trap as I struggled to keep up with their energy, their will to live, sometimes we have a crisi but we still lack their strength .... Finally, (but just for now) you can now see the support pylons for the lightning system that we promised and it has now been realised, but now Santa Claus as he said in the opening statement, he cannot stop, on the 25th of December we have another 2 Christmas deliveries and in January 2009 other volunteers will arrive, meanwhile the hardworking Alessia has gone back home, but we will speak about all of this in the next chapter, if we do not speak prior, I would like to wish you all a magical Christmas, full of simple things but with great sentiments that you all continue to give me whilst I am here .... to the next time ...
