5. part
Santa Claus has put the sleigh into his garage, the reindeer are in the stables ... now my heart and my thoughts go to you who are reading this ... you have made all of this happen, to you ... this year I cannot remember everything, however I don’t want to have an injustice but I cannot stop to remember you all one by one but you have helped over 300 children to smile on the magical night, street children, abused children, children who are alone, orphaned children who have contracted the dreadful virus that we call HIV faces looking for a hug, I have kissed them anta HIV-AIDS, a lot of little all one at a time, and held them close, and they have given me everything that I need to enjoy Christmas, a perfect year, and only you have done all of this for them ... you had little markets, festivals, you left your husbands and wives alone at dinner, boyfriends and girlfriends alone for a whole day. I leave you with a little story, a typical Chirstmas story ... Jessie is nearly 4 years old, dark brown eyes, classic pan American, a little nose to bite, and a great desire to see Santa Claus up close, her Father is Australian and has just found out is HIV Positive the Mother is also HIV Positive having worked in the many of the bars in Pattaya, whilst her companion worked in a mine in Australia, left her with Father John, a dedicated Priest but above all gives love and attention to help the recovery of these little children. Jessie arrived just in time ... staying two months in a Ward in the
Chulalongorn Infections Hospital of Bangkok .. non wanting to die ... not wanting to go blind, as so many do so, when the virus multiples ... and now she quietly attacks the beard of Santa Claus, and odd couple, they look, they study and they hug, one of those hugs that nearly cause you to die, melting ... they did well .. like so many others, they want to live, they want to smile but unfortunately not all of them make it through ... Nai, 11 years old, died last November, after battling years with AIDS every now and then they win a battle but we have to allow them to win, we are even more stronger, as we did before, we will continue with markets, festivals, battling in all weathers, sun, wind and rain to help Jessie to live to help her eyes to sparkle and to give a better future to all of your little-ones ... Happy Christmas!
