Take Care Kids

....this time I won't begin by telling you about the children, but I'm going to start by saying HURRAY!!!! WE MADE IT.....as some of you might have already read on facebook, after many years of hard work with kids in the toughest situations, and after months of serious scrutiny by some of Thailand's Government institutions (Investigative Police, Interpol etc...) we are now recognised as Take Care Kids Thailand Foundation, and can operate as a charitable organisation in this country. This is for us a very significant starting point, a boost which will allow us to reach our main goal...the construction of a family shelter-home for single mothers and their kids, living in the slum areas in and around Pattaya. When I received the papers I immediately thought about all of you....about all the years of hard work and sacrifce we sustained with strong hearts for the love of all our children....therefore, this credit goes to all of you.....three days later we were celebrating this success with the people who will work with us here in Thailand......we immediately started to put down the guidelines in order to let everyone know our foundation here in Thailand....and of course we will always keep you up to date on the progress we make.

In the meantime, our work with the kids in the slums and the orphanage is well under way. Uhn, the little girl from the slum whose parents are both affected by the Aids virus, went back to the hospital for a check up on her fungus situation with her mother and Maria, one of our precious volunteers. The pediatrician said she is much better, and she will undergo another check up soon to keep everything under control.....of course, the little girl went back to the slums with her mother, where she lives with her father as well, unfortunately he is at the end of his days, the Aids virus is consuming him day by day.....This little girl will lose her father very soon and our support will be even more significant.....a few days after this event, I found out through strictly confidential channels, that another Italian man was found in the company of two 12 and 13 year old girls....he was arrested immediately, but freed on a 10,000 Euro bail, plus another 4,000 Euro tip to the newspapers in order to not go public.....we are goiong to fight this phenomenon with even greater strength than before....we believe it is right for everyone to know that there are people who take advantage of the desperate situation in which these mothers and children live, for their own pleasure, and consequently create a psychological and physical devastation in these poor people's lives....we are here to prevent and stop these tragedies as well!
