Take Care Kids

Dear friends we have come to the end of our yearly Thai journey and we said fairwell by going to the swimmingpool with some children. The great heat has arrived (as if we needed more). This time, we took 12 kids who generally could never make it to our field trips due to their school calendars. To them, this was an unforgettable day. For Maria, Piero and I it was great fun just watching them play in the water till they reached exhaustion. I must confess, that I was totally out of gas as well by the end of the afternoon, due to the games we played, the heat and the constant pressure the kids put you under. And as we all might think, going to the pool should be refreshing…but the water temperature was around 38 degrees Celsius….so you can imagine……at the end of the day, we got them an ice cream, a Pepsi, and everyone went home truly happy. And as I have said, and will keep saying….this is the best payback for any volunteer! A few days before our trip, we had a great surprise…Armando Muccifora, Marketing Manager of Thai Airways Italia, spent a whole day with us, and in the end, looked completely satisfied, not because of me of course, but for the fact that he could personally see how Take Care Kids carries on its projects with natural ease. Now, I’m going to go back home. Behind me, I leave (for a very short time) a legal and active Foundation with Thai and Italian volunteers. This year I return to Italy with a few question marks….and some bitterness, but with a straight mind and a strong conviction…..that Take Care Kids has always worked towards one objective: to help, protect and love all kids without any difference.
