This girl's name is Khuanruthai Dangmai and she's eight years old (born on May 26th 2003). She was born in Samut Prakan and she loves to paint and swim and sometimes (when she can) to play badminton. Little Kwan (she likes to be called like this) has a mother who is a hairdresser and two older sisters (who do not live with her).
The mother (who earns approximately 140 euro per month) cannot support little Kwan because the father disappeared as soon as she was born. Many times, when Kwan returns from school she helps her mother in the salon where her Mom works and does her homework before going to sleep. Take Care Kids has chosen to help Kwan because her mother works 11 hours a day and the child is left on her own too often. They will both come to live at the shelter as soon as it is ready. Kwan is a very sweet girl who would love to be a teacher some day.
